In addition to the Program
Helps, it is good to have:
1. Cub Scout Leader
How - To - Book, it has lots of ideas, skits, cheers, stunts, stories,
crafts, etc. 2. Staging Den and Pack Ceremonies, 3.
Sparklers (a little book with fun ideas), 4. Cub Scout Song
book, 5. Bear, Wofl, or Webelo book
(the one for your den)
You learn different cheers at round table, form other leaders, at training.
Here are a few:
1. A round of Applause.
Clap hands while moving hands in a big circular motion in front of you
2. A big hand.
Leader says, "Let's give them a big hand!" Everyone holds out one
hand with the palm of hand in front of you.
3. A water melon cheer.
Pretend to hold a slice of water melon to mouth. Pull it rapidly
across mouth, slurping the fruit, then
turn head to one side and pretend to spit out the seeds, making lots of
noise.
4. Desert Cheer.
"Yucca, Yucca. Yucca!"
